Born in Cornwall, Ontario, Gilles now lives in Nashville Tennessee with his family, and serves as ole's Chief Creative Officer . His career in the music business has been diverse and he feels very fortunate to be an award winning writer, producer, artist, publisher and record industry person.

Most recently he enjoyed success with the song "Don't Waste Your Pretty" which was recorded by Crossin' Dixon on Broken Bow, and was also a top 5 single in Canada for co-writer Willie Mack; and also had a song on the #1 album Soyby Latina superstar Ednita Nazario. Recently, Gilles recieved "Song of the Year" in the 2011 IBMA's for the track "Trains I Missed" recorded by Balsam Range.
